  • Located in Lone Mountain near Laurel Heights and Presidio Heights

Presidio Heights is an elegant neighborhood surrounded by the urban Richmond District and ritzy Pacific Heights. Most of the real estate in Presidio Heights consists of 2-level single family homes and includes the rarest of city traits: front, back and even side yards. The wide, flat streets are quiet and tree-lined, and make for an excellent environment for raising a family.

With California Pacific Medical Center next door (nicknamed “the baby factory”), it’s no wonder that Laurel Heights has become a draw for families with children. Nowhere is this truer than along the main shopping area, Laurel Village on California Street. It’s bustling every day of the week.

Stop by for something to eat at Rigolo, Asqew Grill, A.G. Ferrari or Noah’s Bagels. And there are two supermarkets: Cal-Mart and Bryan’s Grocery. If you’re looking for coffee, there’s no shortage at Peet’s or Starbucks. There’s also great shopping at Books Inc, Emily Lee Sportswear, A Wine Impression, Standard 5 and 10, or any number of kid’s stores, including Gymboree, Gap Kids and the Junior Boot Shop.

Down the road at California and Presidio you’ll find a cluster of shops, including the Jewish Community Center, the stylish Laurel Inn, the hip g bar, and three restaurants: (415), California Street Delicatessen & Café and Ella’s (great for brunch).

Walk up the hill one block and you’ll come to Sacramento Street, a relaxed collection of high-end clothing boutiques, jewelry stores and day spas.
