The Brickhouse Lofts is a classic conversion warehouse loft
in Jack London Square. Built in 1914 as a warehouse for W.P.
Fuller & Company, it was designed by local architect Walter
D. Reed. Later it was occupied by East Bay Tire. In 1997 it
was remodeled into the Brickhouse Lofts, consisting of 12 live/work
condominiums and 2 ground floor commercial spaces. Two stories
and a “sawtooth” roofline were added to the building
at that time.
The Brick House Lofts were designed by local architect Flynn
Craig + Grant, and in 1998 the building won the Gold Nugget
Grand Award for "Best Commercial Remodel."
